of the first organizations to
deal with this issue 15 years
ago, JWI has been actively
involved in dialoguing with
teenagers about domestic

Strengthening and enlarg-
ing its membership is also an
important aspect of JWI.
Starting with a JWI Meets
JWI at the Movies at which
members met for breakfast,
briefings about the organiza-
tion and seeing a film, chap-
ters also began their new
year meetings with member-
ship events. Morgenthau
Chapter, one of the area's
largest with 500 members,
held a fashion show and lun-
cheon as a welcome back to
\_ members. Other chapters
') will host similar activities at
their monthly or bi-monthly
meetings.
With a focus on
strengthening the lives of
children," JWI operates
humor carts in the pediatric
wings of two local hospitals
and will host some humor
/- cart "showers" in the coming
months to refurbish the
carts. In addition, the
Steering Committee of the
local organization is plan-
