The five-course dinner and silent
auction celebrates Morton's 20th year
nationwide, as it salutes former Uni-
versity of Michigan football coach Bo
Schembechler ... Proceeds will go to
the Millie Schembechler Memorial
Foundation, founded by Bo after she
was stricken with adrenal cancer and
passed on in 1992.
The benefit is 6:30 p.m. Thursday,
Sept. 24, with a champagne reception
and hors d'oeuvres ... Dinner is 7:30
p.m.
TASTE! CELEBRATION of inter-
national cuisine at the Ritz-Carlton,
Dearborn, began Sept. 16 and goes on
through Sept. 29 ... Its Wine-Maker
Dinner is Sept. 22.
Distinctive foods and wines of Aus-
tralia and New Zealand are part of
Taste! Australasia ... The Wine-Maker
dinner begins at 6:30, with wines and
live entertainment accompanying the
six-course meal.
