DMC/Sinai's Program for Holocaust
Survivors and Families, CHAIM-
Children of Holocaust-Survivors
Association In Michigan, and the
Jewish Community Center will spon-
sor a special Cafe Europa program
that will feature Sandor Slomovits
1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at the
Jewish Community Center in Oak
Park.
Sandor Slomovits is one half of
the award winning folk music duo
Gemini. In this concert he will
read stories he has written of his
grandparents' and parents' lives in
Hungary since the beginning of
this century and through the period
of the Holocaust. He also will
include songs he learned from
his father, who has been a cantor
all his life.

Varied Calendar
The Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center will host the
third of Oak Park's Summer Concert
Series featuring the Red Garter Band
at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at
Rothstein Park. This program is free
of charge.
"Healthier Aging, A Healthier
Spine! The Benefits of Chiropractic
Care" will be explored by Dr. Sharon
Sutliff at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10.
This lecture is free of charge.
Penny Masouris at the piano will
provide an afternoon of Jewish music
and sing-a-long at 1 p.m. Thursday,
Aug. 13. This program is free of
charge.
Rabbi Joshua Bennett of Temple
Israel will share stories and present
slides from this summer's Teen
Mission to Israel along with examin-
ing "Our Next Generation Through
the Eyes of our Teenagers," 1 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 17.
"A Summer Gala," sponsored by
Jerome Glassman, will be held 1
p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. The Sam
Barnett Orchestra will provide
