Day At Camp
JVS Elects
New Board
The Maimonides Society for Jewish
physicians will host a day at Camp
Maas, Ortonville, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 30.
A program of
the Jewish
Federation's
Community
Outreach and
Education
Department, the Maimonides Society
seeks to strengthen bonds with the
Jewish community and Israel through
educational, social and charitable
activities.
The day will include a kosher pic-
nic lunch, arts and crafts, singing,
sports, swimming, Israeli dancing and
a hayride.
Spouses, children and friends are
invited. There is a fee for lunch. A
bus will leave from the Max M.
Fisher Federation Building at 10:30
a.m. Those who wish to drive should
be at camp by noon to join the group
—for lunch.

Donald M. Lansky, a shareholder in
the law firm of Couzens, Lansky,
Fealk, Ellis, Roeder & Lazar, P.C., has
been re-elected to
a one-year term as
president of the
Jewish Vocational
Service (JVS)
Board of Trustees.
Lansky joins
other community
leaders who were
elected or re-elect-
ed as officers of
Donald Lansky
the board. Serving
as vice presidents are Stacey Crane,
Robert Hertzberg, and the newly
elected Dennis Bernard. Jerold Levine
continues as secretary and Scott
Eisenberg was elected as treasurer.
Elected to the board for a three-
year term are Larisa Abayev, Mark
Bennett, Annabel Cohen, Renee
Erlich, Arnold Mikon, Ross Partrich,
Brent Triest and Mindy Young. Re-
elected for a second term were board
members James Alexander, Kenneth
Eisenberg, Robert E. Epstein, Harvey
Heller and Myles B. Hoffert.
Now serving his second term as pres-
ident, Lansky was a vice president of
the board and a co-chairman for the
agency's Endowment Committee. He
also served as secretary of the board and
was a member of JVS' Executive,
Finance and Personnel committees. He
is vice president of the United Jewish
Foundation and chairs its Educational
Forum for Jewish Philanthropy.
Additionally, Lansky is a volunteer for
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit and Temple Israel.
