in customer traffic.
Co-owners of Ginopolis'
Parthenon, in the Compuware Sports
Arena north of M-14 on Beck Road
in Plymouth, are Andy Stylianou, son-
in-law of Tommy Peristeris, co-owner
of Big Daddy's and Little Daddy's;
and Peter Ginopolis Jr., son of Johnny
Ginopolis of Ginopolis' On The
Grille.
The 165,000-square-foot building
on what was previously 30 acres of
farmland is where the Ontario Hock-
ey League Plymouth Whalers play ...
They are the former Junior Red
Wings, future National Hockey
League stars.
Restaurant knowledge and good
business sense are prominent assets
provided by Andy and Peter ... And
customers are also given the best of
two popular operations ... including
the noted award-winning Tommy
Salad from Big Daddy's Parthenon ...
and Ginopolis' On The Grill's top-
selling Montgomery ribs.
In the kitchen is Chef Michael
Dunn, former sous chef at Dallas,
Texas' acclaimed Turtle Creek Man-
sion restaurant ... He and his staff
make all the food from scratch and
take much pride in items like their
oven-roasted portobella mushroom
appetizer with grilled polenta and red
wine sauce; chicken or veal lemonato,
prime split lamb chops and Greek and
American specialties.
As well as his other duties, Chef
Dunn does the ordering, makes the
soups and sauces, all the desserts and
dressings, runs the kitchen, etc.
Another chef does nothing else but
make the Greek favorites (moussaka,
pastitsio, stuffed grape leaves, gyros,
etc.). Those desserts Chef Dunn
makes aren't just baklava or rice pud-
ding ... There's also cream brulee
(fresh vanilla beans and Grand
Marnier); cheesecake, chocolate
mousse and mud pies.
What a terrific place to bring the
kids ... Especially if they love hockey.
There's even a special menu geared
strictly for the youngsters 12 and
under that isn't just a two- or three-
