SPACE Offers
Support Groups

SPACE for Changing Families, a non-
sectarian community service project of
National Council of Jewish Women,
Greater Detroit Section, is now accept-
ing registration for divorce and bereave-
ment support groups.
On Thursday, June 4 from 7-9 p.m.
SPACE will sponsor a drop-in bereave-
ment support group. This group is for
adults who have lost a loved one. There
is no charge but pre-registration is
requested.
Beginning Tuesday, June 16, SPACE
will sponsor an eight-week bereavement
support group for adults grieving the
loss of a spouse or partner, from 7-9
p.m. This group will end on Aug. 4.
There is no charge but pre-registration
is required.
Beginning Monday, June 8, SPACE
will offer two four-week groups; a
divorce support group and a moving-
on group will meet Monday evenings
7:30-9:30 p.m. There is a suggested
donation of $20 for each of the two
four-week groups and pre-registration
is required.
All groups and workshops meet at
the SPACE For Changing Families
office, located at One Lasher Center,
26400 Lahser, Suite 100, Southfield.

AJE Plans
Hebrew Classes

The Agency for Jewish Education will
host "A Hebrew Summer Splash," a
series of free Hebrew classes.
Advanced Hebrew will be 11 a.m.-1
p.m. Sunday, June 14, June 21 and
Aug. 30; intermediate Hebrew, 9:30
a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11,
and 10 a.m.-noon Monday, June 22.
All classes will be held at the Agency
for Jewish Education in Southfield. To
register, call Nira Lev, (248) 354-1050.
All Hebrew learners and Hebrew
teachers are also invited to visit the
Agency for Jewish Education Hebrew
interactive learning center throughout
the summer. It offers an innovative
video program, professional and curric-
ular consultation for teachers in all
areas of Hebrew and prayer instruction,
and a selection of current teaching and
self-study materials for all grade levels
and age groups.
