During the summers, he was a co-
owner of Thunderbird Day Camp. He
also refereed basketball games, was
third-base coach for the Purchasing
Service baseball team and was a part-
ner in the Cincy Sachs Basketball
Camp, the first basketball clinic in
Michigan. He was an award-winning
-handball doubles champion, winning
many tournaments at the Detroit Ath-
letic Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Yetta Kutnick; son and daughter-in-
law, Paul and Nancy Kutnick of Yorba
Linda, Calif, daughters and son-in-
law, Linda Kutnick of Southfield,
Marcia and Bruce Fogel of Farming-
\ --, ton Hills; loving grandchildren, Jen-
,-hifer and Samantha Fogel, Geoffrey
and Timothy Kutnick; brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Jack and Barbara Kutnick
of Florida.
Services were held at Machpelah
Cemetery Chapel in Ferndale followed
by interment in the cemetery. Contri-
butions may be made to a charity of

IVAN I. MEISNER, 94, of Farming-
ton Hills, died May 29. Prior to his
retirement in 1988, Mr. Meisner was a
practicing attorney for 60 years. He
was a graduate of the University of
Detroit Law School in 1927. He was
also a member of Congregation
Shanrey Zedek and Men's Club, a life-
ime member of the YMCA, the
Detroit Bar Association and the State
Bar of Michigan.
Mr. Meisner is survived by his wife,
Ruth Meisner; son, Robert Meisner of
West Bloomfield; grandchildren,
Derek Meisner and fiancee' Lara
Strayer, and Randall Meisner. He was
the dear brother of the late Max Meis-
ner, the late Harry Meisner, the late
, 17sther Messer, the late Ethel Mall, the
I late Miriam Cohen and the late Helen
Chimovitz.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one's choice.

HYMAN MERVIS, 77, of Southfield,
-iced May 31.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah
Mervis; sons and daughter-in-law,
Stephen and Carole Mervis of West
Bloomfield, Michael Mervis of South-
field; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue
and Dr. Abe Gershonowicz of West
Bloomfield, Lisa and Steven Sherbel of
West Bloomfield; brother-in-law, Sam

my, Josh, Jason, Allison, Brandon.

LAZAR OSIPOV, 73, of West
Bloomfield, died May 31.
He is survived by his wife, Rakhylia
Osipova; sons and daughters-in-law,
Barukh and Zinfira Osipov, Robert
and Larissa Osipov, Rafael and Gulya
Osipov; daughters, Maral Osipova,
Sofia Osipova, Brilliant Osipova; eight
grandchildren; four great-grandchil-
dren.

DR MEYER "MIKE" PENSLER,
86, of Farmington Hills, died May 31.
Since 1946, Dr. Pensler was a general
surgeon at old Grace Hospital. He also
purchased the Dearborn Medical Cen-
ter which is now a part of Oakwood
Hospital. Dr. Pensler was a 1935 grad-
uate of Wayne State University Med-
ical School and a fellow at the Ameri-
can College of Surgeons. He was a
member of the Michigan State Med-
ical Society, Wayne Medical Society, a
member of Maimonides Medical
Group and Adat Shalom Synagogue.
He was also a veteran of World War
II, a member of the 82nd Airborne
and received the Congressional Medal
of Honor.
Dr. Pensler is survived by his wife,
Gertrude Pensler; son and daughter-
in-law, Dr. Mark and Brenda Pensler
of Bloomfield Hills; daughter and son-
in-law, Linda and Larry Levey of Dal-
las; grandchildren, Robert, Elizabeth,
Margaret, Pauline, Katherine and
Pamela Pensler, Ryan, Andrew and Jef-
frey Levey; brother and sister-in-law,
Dr. Paul and Joyce Pensler; sister, Rose
Borman; brothers-in-law and sisters-
in-law, Arnold arid Thelma Feuerman,
George and Rosita Feuerman, Dr.
Burton and Bede Epstein, Frances
Pensler. He was the loving brother of
the late Max Pensler; dear brother-in-
law of the late Irene Pensler, the late
Al Borman, the late Dorothy and Al
Koffman, the late Dr. Manny and Lil-
lian Lansky. Interment at Clover Hill
Park Cemetery.
