Thread fruit on skewers, all one kind
or mixed, and cook on a preheated
medium heat until the fruits are
cooked but still slightly firm, basting
often with the honey mixture. For hard
fruits, such as apples and pears, it's best
to cook the fruit on medium-low heat
and cook for longer periods of time,
r_
turning occasionally, until done.

If you have seasoned kosher cooking
skills and an outgoing personality,
then you may have the right ingredi-
ents to host a new, national kosher
cooking cable TV program.
The half-hour program, co-spon-
sored by The Jewish News, is called
"Everything's Kosher."
Auditions for a host and co-host
will be held in late June at MediaOne
Television, 27800 Franklin Road in
Southfield. TV experience isn't
required. But the hosts will need
kosher cooking skills and the ability
to cook up interesting morsels of
information.
The producers are Mindy Soble,
an award-winning television producer
in Chicago and Detroit, and Mort
Meisner, an Emmy-winning television
news producer, director and manag-
ing editor.
