Participants will have a day of on-
your-own exploring in Jerusalem and
then visit the world's only biblical
landscape reserve in Neot Kedumim.
Visitors will walk through the man-
made caves of the first and second
Temple periods in Beit Guvrin and
view the underground world of the
Absalom Stalactite Caves. More
adventuresome members can crawl
through the tunnel system created by
Bar Kochba's warriors.
The nature trip ends with a walk-
ing tour through the Old City of
Jerusalem: City of David, Warren's
to Greece and Turkey, Oct. 20-Nov.

The trip includes two nights in a
first-class hotel in Athens with buffet
breakfast daily, a tour of Jewish
Athens, a three-night, four-day classi-
cal tour of Greece, a 7-day cruise
aboard the Stella Solaris with ports in
Greece and Turkey. Optional Jewish
shore excursions will be arranged
throughout the cruise.

The Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit will host a trip
The Cantors Assembly of America
will hold its 50th Anniversary Con-
vention in New York the week of
June 7-11, at the Mariott Hotel in
New York's financial district. The
convention is open to the public.
The convention will feature a con-
cert in Central Park on Sunday, June 7,
celebrating Israel's 50th anniversary; a
gathering at Ellis Island commemorat-
ing the Jewish immigration from many
countries and the dedication of a wing
in the new Holocaust Memorial Cen-
ter in tribute to one thousand cantors
who perished in the Holocaust.
A concert of cantorial music will
be held at Carnegie Hall Monday
evening, June 8. A minchah service
will take place at the Eldridge Street
Synagogue, an Orthodox synagogue,
with cantors and choirs from Israel.
There also will be a concert at Temple .
Emanuel (Reform), and a banquet
and musical gala at the Park Avenue
Synagogue (Conservative) on
Wednesday, June 10.
