Lucy Gersten

Lucy Gersten of Southfield was elect-
ed to a second term as international
vice president of Jewish Women
International
(JWI) at the
recent biennial
convention of the
more than
50,000-member
Jewish women's
organization. She
is a past president
of Centennial
Chapter and the
Lucy Gersten
Metro Detroit
Council of JWI as well as a past
regional chairman.
Southfield resident Esther Apple-
baum, past president of Marshall-
Israel-Brandeis Chapter and the Metro
Detroit JWI Council, and Gerard Pul-
ver, new director of the JWI Residen-
tial Treatment Center in B'ait V'gan,
Israel, announced that the Treatment
Center, an internationally renowned
rehabilitative facility for emotionally
disturbed boys, will be expanded to
include treatment for girls beginning
September 1998.

Temple Kol Ami Sisterhood will host a
dinner and the installation of its newly
elected board 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May
21, at the temple. The dinner and
installation will be followed by an
evening program featuring storyteller
Corinne Stavish, who will spin tales of

Hosts Speaker

Sharona Chapter, Niamat/USA will
