Book Of Life
Signing Set
A festive family event to mark the
first signing of pages for the Book of
Life bearing the thoughts of charita-
ble families will take place 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, May 19, at Congregation
Beth Abraham Hillel Moses.
The Book of Life is a project of
the Jewish Federation's Endowment
Department. The book will be main-
tained as a permanent archive of the
community as a gift to future genera-
tions.
Those who create endowments or
testamentary gifts through a will or
trust are eligible for inclusion in the
Book of Life.
Pianist/composer Jeff Haas will
perform
with his
trio.
Families
and individ-
uals who
already have
established
endowments
or testamen-
tary gifts
through
Federation's
Endowment
Jeff Haas
Department
are invited.
A champagne dessert buffet will be
served.

Congregation Shir Tikvah, at 1:30
p.m. Sunday, May 3, will hold a ded-
ication ceremony of the synagogue,
3900 Northfield Parkway in Troy.
The ceremony will include tours
of the building, speeches, prayers, a
shofar service, singing, and dancing.
U.S. Representative Sander Levin,
State Senator Michael Bouchard,
mayor Jeanne Stine, and clergy of all
faiths from the Detroit area will be
guest dignitaries.
