to the Marvin and Betty Danto Family
Health Care Center

The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit
congratulates the Danto Center on receiving
accreditation by the Joint Commission on
Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

The JCAHO is the most frequently recognized
survey organization for all types of health care
organizations in the U.S. Only a small number of
skilled nursing homes gain accreditation, which
involves a rigorous survey and intense followup.

Jan. 25
Susie (Weinstein) and Mitchell
Tokowitz of Novi, welcome with much
love the arrival of their son, Ryan
Joseph Tokowitz, little brother to
Samantha Emily Tokowitz. Sharing in
their happiness are grandparents Dolly
and Hy Weinstein. Ryan was named in
loving memory of his grandmother
Ruth Tokowitz, two grandfathers
named Joseph, great-uncle Cy Astrein
and great-aunt Charlotte DeSure.
Mathew Rodgers

In addition, the Michigan Department of Public
Health recently returned to Danto for a resurvey and
found that the facility was in compliance with state
regulations. MDPH also recently used the Danto
Center as a training site for new surveyors.

Both the accreditation and the state survey are good
news for the Danto Center and our community,
which has a preferred provider relationship with the
ski I led care facility.

Bar/Bat Mitzvahs

his bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on

The provision of good quality care — ensured by
319 federal and 150 state regulations — is a chal-
lenge for every nursing home. We are delighted that
the Danto Center is meeting the challenge and is
receiving such high marks for its efforts on behalf of
the frail elderly of our community.
