Ahava BBG will sponsor its annual
Mr. AZA Pageant 8 p.m. Saturday,
March 7, at the Kahn Jewish Com-
munity Center. Admission is
$6 or $5 with a can of food. Activi-
ties include raffles, huge prizes,
dancing and food. All BBYO mem-
bers and guests are welcome to
attend.
Michigan region BBYO will hold
its annual Membership Open House
2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at the
Kahn JCC. All eighth and ninth-
graders interested in joining BBYO
are welcome to attend this program.
There will be a separate information
meeting for parents during this same
time. General information about
BBYO will be presented to prospec-
tive members and each chapter will
be represented so they can introduce
themselves.
Michigan Region BBYO Adviser
Group will hold its monthly meeting
at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 8, in the
BBYO Chapter Service Center. For
information on BBYO or to volun-
teer as a BBYO advisor, call BBYO,

Michigan Region BBYO members
will travel by bus to Long Island,
N.Y., to meet with BBYO members
from the Nassau-Suffolk Region to
hold a joint Interregional Conven-
tion during the weekend of March
13-15. The Michigan Region coordi-
nators are Mitch Pollack of Green-
berg AZA and Jennifer Smith of Sav-
age BBG.
Michigan Region Board of Direc-
tors will hold its monthly meeting
7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at
the Kahn Jewish Community Cen-
ter.
Hadassah
Happenings
There will be several Hadassah
events on Sunday, March 8.
"Purim Family Fun", led by
Wendy Kohlenberg, will include
crafts, songs and snacks for pre-
schoolers (with their parents or
grandparents) from 10 a.m. to noon.
Next, from 1-3:30 p.m., there will
be a dessert concert and dollmaking
session, featuring cantorial soloist
Marci Shulman and benefiting chil-
dren in area hospitals.
Finally, young adults and the
young at heart are welcome to "Play
With Us" from 4-6 p.m., with many
board/card games.
All programs will be at Hadassah
House, 5030, Orchard Lake Road,
West Bloomfield. Attendance is
complimentary. Free one-year mem-
berships are offered until May 15.

NCSY Plans
For Youth
The juniors will have a regional con-
vention for grades 6-8 in Indianapo-
lis the weekend of March 27-29.
Cost is $45 (not including trans-
portation which is $20). For infor-

NCSY.
The Israeli Culture club will meet
at lunch at Southield-Lathrup Senior
High school every other Tuesday and
at Berkley High School every other
Wednesday.
There will be a spring scaior
regional convention in Pittsburgh,
Pa., on March 19-22. Cost is $85
including transportation. Apply by
March 5 and take off $10. For infor-
