Women have made great strides in the workplace and
world at large, but still have not achieved parity with men,
feminist organizer and Ms. Magazine editor Gloria Steinem told
nearly 900 women attending the inaugural VOICES event.

"The most revolutionary thing we can do is support each
other." acting with one voice to bring about change, Ms.
Steinem told the attendees at the recent Jewish Federation
Business and Professional Women dinner on behalf of the 1998
Women's Allied Jewish Campaign.

Guest speaker Rebecca Newman, national United Jewish
Appeal women's campaign chair, said women touch thousands
of lives at home and around the world with their Campaign
contributions.
