Rachel Wettenstein
Rachel Pearl Wettenstein will
observe her bat mitzvah at Temple
Israel on
aturday, Jan. 10.
She is the daugh-
ter of Miriam
and Gary
Wettenstein, sis-
ter of Zachary
and grandchild
of Roselyn and
Ben Wettenstein
and Charlotte
Gorman and the
late Seymour Gorman.
Her most meaningful mitzvah
project revolves around working with
younger children. Rachel attends
West Hills Middle School; her inter-
ests include dancing, reading, draw-
ing, music and the computer.

Jodi Orloff

Jodi Michelle Orloff will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Saturday, Jan. 10. She is the daugh-
ter of Patricia and Robert Orloff and
sister of Rachel.
She also is the
grandchild of the
late Claire and
Dr. Raymond
Lipton and the
- 'late Jean and
Morris Orloff.
Her most
meaningful mitz-
vah project
involved her
assistance at Yad Ezra. Jodi enjoys
dancing, skiing and the computer.
She is an honor student at Warner
Middle School.

Lori Tapper
Adam Michael Tapper and Lori
Danielle Tapper
will be called to
the Torah as b'nai
mitzvah on
Friday, Jan. 9, at
Temple Israel.
They are the
children of
Debra and Jeffrey
Tapper, siblings
of Ryan and
grandchildren of Adam Tapper
Ruthe and Irving
Levine and Adele and David Tapper.

Both are honor
roll students at
Warner Middle
School. Adam
plays percussion
in the school
band and likes to
play baseball, ten-
nis, basketball and
to rollerblade. As
Lori Tapper
part of his mitz-
vah projects he
volunteered at the Temple Israel picnic
and assisted at a shelter for abused
women and children as they celebrat-
ed at a birthday party.
Lori plays clarinet in the school
band and enjoys softball, tennis and
Swimming. Mitzvah projects includ-
ed donating funds to Children's
Hospital, volunteering at a shelter
for abused women and children and
assisting during the Temple Israel
picnic.

Arica Jacobson
Arica Michelle Jacobson will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah
on Saturday, Jan. 10, at
Congregation
Shaarey Zedek.
Arica is the
daughter of
Linda and
Stephen
Jacobson, and the
sister of Rachael,
Josh and Marni.
She is the grand-
daughter of Louis
and the late Marilyn Soverinsky, and
Bernice and the late Alvin Jacobson.
Her parents, siblings and grandpar-
ents will participate in the service.
Arica's mitzvah projects include
volunteering weekly to help a family
in the Friendship Circle, volunteer-
ing at Shaarey Zedek on Shabbat
morning, and participating in
Shaarey Zedek/Salvation Army's
joint program, "Shine Light into
Darkness," the past two years.
As part of her mitzvah/tzedakah
project, Arica has created center-
pieces that will be donated to local
children serviced by the Friendship
Circle. She also has chosen Alyn
Hospital as a recipient of her gen-
erosity.
Arica is an honor student at
Clifford Smart Middle School in
Walled Lake, where she plays the
cello in the school orchestra. She is a
member of the JCC Marlins Swim
Team and also enjoys playing the
piano.
