20. Prior to his retirement, he was
vice president of retail sales for
Federal Department Stores.
He is survived by his wife,
Wanda; son and daughter-in-law,
Richard and Debbie Messinger of
Dallas; daughters and sons-in-law,
Joan Bloom of Troy, Lois Messinger
of Southfield, Shelley and Gary
Krasman of Farmington Hills, Jill
and Paul Hamway of Southfield;
stepchildren, John and Shannon
Irish of Dallas; sister, Sadie Perlman
of Silver Springs, Md.; brother,
Norman Messinger of Chattanooga,
Tenn. Interment in Dallas.

A. LINCOLN OPPER, of Oak

Park, died Dec. 19.
He is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Loren and Phyllis
Opper of West Bloomfield; grand-
children, Amy and Dr. Scott Segel,
Alison and Brandon Auster; great-
grandchild, Amanda Segel. He was
the beloved husband of the late
Beatrice Opper. Graveside services
were held at Acacia Cemetery in
Ozone Park, N.Y. Contributions

NANCY SCHUBB, 63, of Royal

Oak, died Dec. 18. Mrs. Schubb
was a school system secretary.
She is survived by her husband,
Herbert Schubb; son, Jason Schubb.
Mrs. Schubb was the loving daugh-
ter of the late Joe Pisarski and the
late Marie Schubb.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

HARRY P. WALTS, 75, of

Bloomfield Hills, died Dec. 20. Mr.
Waits was a steel executive for

Winston Steel Products.
He is survived by his wife, Lois

law, Sherri Waits and Ron Brodley
of Bloomfield Hills, Lauren and Jeff
Marwil of Wilmette, Ill.; grandchil-

and Yvonne Weiss of Houston,

NADIA ZAKALIK, 79, of

Southfield, died Dec. 17.
She is survived by her sons and
daughter-in-law, Simon and Fran
Zakalik of Farmington Hills, Alan
Zakalik of Southfield; grandchil-
dren, Lauren, Michael and Marc.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Rubin Zakalik.

CHASIA ZIMMERMAN, 92, of

West Bloomfield, died Dec. 18.
She is survived by her niece and
nephew, Ido and Hadas Shefler of

wife of the late Sam Zimmerman.
