teven Spielberg has
announced the creation of
Visual History Films as a
branch of his nonprofit Sur-
vivors of the Shoah Visual History
Foundation.
"Starting in the spring of 1998,
Visual History Films will draw from
the Shoah Foundation's archive of
Holocaust survivor testimony to cre-
ate documentary films, emphasizing
foreign languages for audiences
around the world," said Spielberg.
'And eventually, it is my hope that
Visual History Films will join forces
with those who have been preserving
testimonies from other events in
world history to create films that
enable all of us to learn about our past
from the people who actually were
there."
