Armani. More interesting, however,
is the woman or man who earns our
attention not because they spell
designer, but because of the unique
way they put themselves together.
They demonstrate an air of confi-
dence with an attitude that says, "If I
like it, it's right."
The same goes for entertaining.
The well dressed table reflects the
person who creates it. The table
matches the occasion, has an attitude
and style, and is well put together.
Leslie Jacobs knows all about
tables with panache. "It's not what
you do — it's how you do it," says
the Bloomfield Hills-based party
consultant and events coordinator.

asked me to help them plan wed-
dings and parties," she explains.
"Cooking and entertaining are my
passions," Jacobs says. For this past
fall's first "Entertaining with Style"
workshop that she orchestrated at
the Ritz-Carlton, Dearborn, Jacobs
shares plenty of her own tips.
"My goal is to show people how
to use what they have but do it in
