AGING SERVICES

'The Club' in the Plaza is an adult day
program which offers recreation,
socialization and mental stimulation. The
goal of 'The Club' is to promote
independence and wellness for older
persons still living at home. It also provides
a respite for care-giving relatives.
The Jewish Community Chaplaincy
Program coordinates and provides pastoral
care and religious services to the frail older
Jewish adults who live in isolated non-
Jewish sheltered care facilities.
The J.H.A.S. Guardianship Program acts
as legal representative and advocate,
providing community support for the Jewish
older adults who are isolated, neglected, or
incapacitated. This program speaks for the
client making critical life decisions on his or
her behalf.
Community Liaison Service provides
religious, cultural and spiritual support for
Jewish care at Menorah House, Marvin and

SUPPO.RT SERVICES

The Auxiliary for Jewish Aged has forged
an alliance with over 1500 dedicated members
whose mission is to render services primarily to
the residents of the Jewish Home and Aging
Services and other facilities in the alliance and
to promote public awareness of the Jewish
elderly community
The Benefactors of the Jewish Home and
Aging Services serve as an important link
between the "Home" and the local community
to promote and advance services provided to
our elderly. Members are provided with
opportunities to network, enjoy social
activities, become active with the community

and the board, and produce financial support
and assistance to the expanding services the
"Home" offers.
The Volunteer Corps is a group of men,
women and young adults who provide direct
services to our Jewish elderly. Dedicated
individuals provide support to the Edward I.
and Freda Fleischman Residence / Blumberg
Plaza, Marvin and Betty Danto Facility Health
Care Center and the Menorah House as well
as reaching out to Jewish elderly who might
be isolated from the community.
