RAYMOND PORTNEY, 74, of
Farmington Hills, died Oct. 17. For
40 years, Mr. Portney was an executive
and owner of Vulcan Chain Company
and Superior Heating Company. He
was a founding member and member
of Beth Achim and Temple Shir
Shalom.
Mr. Portney is survived by his wife,
Gloria Portney; daughters and sons-in-
law, Marilynn and Ronald Silberman
of West Bloomfield, Laurie and
