contract to play minor league base-
ball in the New York Yankees organi-
z zation.
Ornstein, also a switch-hitting first
baseman for the Spartan baseball
team, had four home runs and 11
L —runs batted in before tearing the
patella tendon in his right knee, end-
ing his season last spring.
