Professor Moshe (Murray) Rosman is a distinguished historian, author,
international academic lecturer, and winner of the 1997 National Jewish
Book Award for his biography of the Baal Shem Tov. Professor Rosman
is currently on leave from his position as a Professor of History at Bar-
Ilan University. He and his family made aliyah to Israel in 1979 and have
close personal ties to the Detroit Jewish community and Congregation
B'nai Moshe. Professor Rosman's appointment as Visiting Scholar
at B'nai Moshe is sponsored by the Deutsch Family Speakers
Fund in memory of Rabbi Moses Lehrman.
