Talk Slated
Adat Shalom Sisterhood will sponsor
an informational program on
"Osteoporosis: What Every Woman
Should Know," 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct.
26, at the synagogue.
Dr. Incencio Cuesta, from the
Department of Rheumatology at
Botsford Hospital, will explain how
thinning of bone mass may begin. A
question and answer session will fol-
low.
The program is open to both
women and men. Refreshments will
be served. Reservations are not
required. There is no charge.
Hillel Events
At Michigan
University of Michigan Hillel will
accept donations to Mazon — the
American Jewish community's collec-
tive response to hunger — at the
entrances to Kol Nidre services in the
Power Center and at Hillel on Friday,
Oct. 10.
A Yom Kippur break the fast for
grads and young professionals will be
held after services on Saturday, Oct.
11, in the Lawyer's Club. Call Hillel

Sukkot Event
Congregation Beth Achim youth
department and religious school will
celebrate Sukkot by setting up and
decorating the synagogue sukkah on
Sunday, Oct. 12.
The students will make decorations
during class Sunday, while Lahav USY
will build the sukkah. After school,
families will gather for lunch and to
decorate the sukkah.
Jewish Morocco
Tour Planned
A community trip led by Rabbi David
and Alicia Nelson is planned to the
five imperial cities of Morocco from
Feb. 12-22, 1998.
A deluxe motor coach will be pro-
vided with two Moroccan guides.
Five-star hotel accommodations have
been selected; five dinners are includ-
ed in the tour. There also is an option-
al two-day extension available.
The cost of the 11-day trip is
$2,395 per person from New York to
Morocco based upon double occu-
pancy. Single room supplement is
$465.
