Bloomfield and Sandra and Lawrence
Schiff of Farmington Hills.
Mathilde will complete her master's
degree from La Sorbonne University
of Paris in human resource manage-
ment in the fall. Brian is finishing his
doctorate degree from the University
of Chicago in human development
psychology.
They will live in Israel for a year,
where Brian will be a post doctorate
fellow at the Hebrew University of
Jerusalem.
A February wedding is planned in
Paris.

Gerald and Frances Bloom recently cel-
ebrated their 50th anniversary. A spe-
cial evening at a restaurant was hosted
by their children and spouses, Barbara
and Joel Letzer, Hazel and Armin
Fischer, Barry Bloom and Pamela and
Bob Horner. Their grandchildren,
Daniel and Jennifer Letzer, Sean and
Marcie Fischer, and Jeremy and Kaitlyn
Horner, were present. Many close rela-
tives and longtime friends also joined
this wonderful occasion.

Esther and Neal Zalenko of
Bloomfield Hills are pleased to
announce the engagement of their
daughter Karen Emily to Brandon Jay
Weinbaum, son of Sheila and James
Prenzlauer of West Bloomfield.
Karen graduated with a bachelor of
science degree from the University of
Michigan School of Nursing and is a
registered nurse. Brandon graduated
with a bachelor of science degree from
Miami University and is employed as
a systems auditor with Coopers &
Lybrand LLP.
A December wedding is planned at
Adat Shalom Synagogue.

Seth is the son of Dr. Raymond
Rosenfeld and Janelle McCammon, sis-
ter of Bryn Rosenfeld, and the grand-
son of Tillye Rosenfeld of Atlanta, Ga.,
and Janelle G. McCammon of
Lafayette, La.
His mitzvah projects were at Focus
HOPE and the Baldwin Avenue
Center in Pontiac and at Temple Beth
El's Nursery School Summer Camp.
