Israel And Latvia
Sign Trade Accord
Jerusalem (JPFS) - Israel Com-
munications Minister Limor Liv-
nat signed an agreement for
cooperation in the field of
telecommunications with Latvia.
Mr. Livnat was visiting the
Baltics accompanied by Director-
General Daniel Rosenne and a
high-level delegation of Israeli
businessmen. The Israel-Latvia
accord sets down a number of
principles, including joint initia-
tives between the two communi-
cations ministries and various
research institutes, especially for
the development of new tech-
nologies.
Later in the day, Mr. Livnat
went to Estonia to sign a similar
agreement. A cooperation agree-
ment with Lithuania is to be
signed in Vilna.
