Southfield, died May 29.
He is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Irving and Ar-
line Aran of Boca Raton, Fla.;
sister, Jeannie Kwaselow of
Southfield; seven grandchil-
dren; five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Aran was the loving father
of the late Mildred Selma Sklar.

DR. MORRIS S. BRENT, 88,
of Southfield, died June 1. Dr.
Brent graduated from Wayne
State University Medical School
after working as a pharmacist.
Dr. Brent was a general practi-
tioner and retired in 1968. He
was the founder of Brent Hospi-
tal in 1940, and after 1968 was
an administrator until the hos-
pital closed in the early 1980s.
Dr. Brent was a member of
the American Medical Associ-
ation, Michigan State Medical
Society, Wayne County Med-
ical Society and was active
with Phi Delta Epsilon Med-
ical Fraternity.
He is survived by his wife of
65 years, Anne Brent; sons and
daughters-in-law, Dr. Robert
and Dasi Brent of Bloomfield
Hills, Dr. Burton and Belinda
Brent of Portolla Valley, Calif.;
grandchildren, Carol and Dr.
Edward Levin, Thomas and
Becky Brent, David and Renee
Brent, Dr. Greg and Amy
Brent; eight great-grandchil-
dren; brothers and sisters-in-
law, Dr. Simon and Leah
Berent of Southfield, Dr. Louis
