Freeman is a National Merit fi-
nalist, Phi Beta Kappa, winner
of Free Press and Weisberg writ-
ing awards and Optimist Essay
Contest. She is active in theater,
vice-president of Ahava BBG,
Botsford Hospital volunteer, and
on newspaper staff, class board,
National Honor Society and ADL
Dream Dialogue. She won a U-
M Regents-Alumni Scholarship
and will attend University of
Michigan Honors College.

Friedman is Phi Beta Kappa,
member of National Honor So-
ciety, captain of pompon, mem-
ber of MidAmerican Pompon All
Star Team, performed at the
1996 Olympics in Atlanta and at
the 1997 inaugural parade in
Washington, D.C. She has been
named to the U-M dance team
and will attend the University of
Michigan.

Friedman is vice-president of
Student Council, Phi Beta Kap-
pa, and received a Michigan
Competitive Scholarship and a
Wayne State University Presi-
dential Scholarship. She will at-
tend Bnos Chava Teachers
Seminary in Har Nof, Israel, this
year and then Wayne State Uni-
versity.

Goldenberg is a member of the
state champion Future Problem
Solving team, charter member
of the Governor's Michigan
Youth Political Action Commit-
tee, class and Student Council
officer. She is president of Cen-
tral States Young Judaea and
national board member. She will
spend a year in Israel on Young
Judaea's Year Course and then
attend the University of Michi-
gan.

Goldfein is a member of Na-
tional Honor Society, Phi Beta
Kappa, Scholars Plus, Hebrew
Club, varsity soccer and Univer-
sity of Michigan Jewish Teen
Scholar. She studied Torah, Tal-
mud and piano, and participat-
ed in the March of the Living.
She won a U-M Regents-Alum-
ni Scholarship and will attend
the University of Michigan Hon-
ors College or the University of
Pennsylvania.

PETER GRANDON

Golob was stage manager for
Fiddler on the Roof and was
awarded membership in the Er-
gasterion Theater Club. As a ju-
nior, he received the Cornell
Book Award for excellence in so-
cial and political issues and
school service. He will major in
biomedical engineering at Johns
Hopkins University.

Gordon is director of social ac-
tivities and past secretary of Stu-
dent Congress, member of
National Honor Society, and
played varsity softball two years.
She is executive vice president
of Central Region United Syna-
gogue Youth. She will attend the
University of Michigan.

Gormezano is a member of Na-
tional Honor Society, Eton's
Transition Program, National
Conference of Synagogue Youth,
and participated in Yarchi
Kallah youth leadership semi-
nars. She studied violin for sev-
en years and earned awards at
Michigan Music Teachers Asso-
ciation competitions. She will
major in psychology and educa-
tion at the University of Michi-
gan-Dearborn.

Gottesman is a member of Na-
tional Honor Society, Student
Council, and pit percussion sec-
tion leader for the state champi-
on flight III marching band. She
will work this summer on the
Hermelin Sepphoris excavation
in Israel and then study engi-
neering at Michigan State Uni-
versity.

Grandon is editor of the school
newspaper and a varsity golfer.
He was named Andover's out-
standing junior last year by the
Detroit Optimist Club. He is Phi
Beta Kappa and won a Univer-
sity of Michigan Regents-Alum-
ni Scholarship. He will attend
the University of Michigan Hon-
ors College.
