Sisterhood
Elects Board
Temple Israel Sisterhood will in-
stall its newly elected board 6:30
p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the
temple. The dinner and instal-
lation will be followed by an
evening of entertainment by
Cantor Harold Orbach.
Carol Cooper, the installing
officer, will preside over the
ceremony in which Sheila
Schiffer will become sisterhood
president. Sheila has been ac-
tive in sisterhood for over 15
years.
The price for the evening is
$12 for sisterhood members and
$15 for spouses and guests. Con-

NCJW Plans
Installation
The installation of National
Council of Jewish Women,
Greater Detroit Section officers
and board members will be held
\-) at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May
21, at the NCJW office, One
Lahser Center, 26400 Lahser
Road, Southfield.
National President of NCJW
Nan Rich will preside over the
installation. Rabbi Daniel B.
Syme of Temple Beth El will of-
ficiate at a mezuzah ceremony,
dedicating the new office of
NCJW. There will be a luncheon
following the ceremony.
The slate of officers for 1997-
98 is as follows: Marta Rosen-
thal, president; Fern Katz,
vice president of administration
and finance; Sheila Guyer,
vice president of community ser-
vice; Mary Jo Wolfe, vice presi-
dent of fund raising; Joyce
Rubenstein, vice president of
program and membership; Car-
ol Weintraub Fogel, vice presi-
dent of public affairs and
education; Sandy Supowit, vice
president of public relations;
Berta Molansky, corresponding
secretary; Sally Green, record-
ing secretary; Judy Share Saret-
sky, assistant recording
secretary; Claire Kretchmer,
treasurer; Marsha Zucker, as-
sistant treasurer; Joyce Seigel,

First term board members

The Department of Michigan
Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish
War Veterans will conduct its
meeting 7:30 p.m. Wednesday,
May 14, at the JWV Memorial
Home. President Elaine Zeron
will discuss the convention in
June.
Refreshments will be served
before the meeting by the host-
esses of Yetz-Cohen Auxiliary.
