Conference Set
On Holocaust

Learning about the hatred and
evil connected with the Holocaust
and Armenian Genocide will the
topic of a daylong conference
Thursday, April 10, in the Mc-
"- Gregor Memorial Conference
Center at Wayne State Univer-
sity.
Tickets for "Teachable Mo-
ments from the Holocaust and
Armenian Genocide: Lessons of
Hatred and Evil" cost $25 and in-
clude lunch. To receive a regis-

a.m.
Speakers will include Richard
Lobenthal, former director of the
Michigan regional office of the
Anti-Defamation League, and
Ferndale High School teacher
Barbara Demlow who will show
an anthology of film segments
and moderate a panel discussion
featuring students.
Dennis Papazian, professor
history and director of the Ar-
menian Research Center at the
University of Michigan-Dear-
born, will be the keynote speak-
er.

Temple Israel
Plans Courses

Registration has begun for the
spring '97 academic program at
Temple Israel. Classes are held
7-9 p.m. Monday nights: April 7,
14, 28, and May 5, 12. Cost is $40
for members and $50 for non-
members.
Also being offered will be the
Sunday evening Feast and Film
`- series. Jewish America — the

April 27; kosher for Passover food
