This spring, Detroit will be
sending some 60 of its Jewish
kids — some of them are Ortho-
dox, some are Conservative and
some are Reform — to Poland
and to Israel to visit the ovens of
Auschwitz and then recover their
senses in the cradle of our ne-
shamas.
And last week, a group of
neighbors from Huntington
Woods, Southfield and Oak Park
got together to do something good
at the JPM. They made Purim
parcels.
"It's not that big of an area,"
said Beth Applebaum. "We
