HARRY FREEDLAND, 91,
former Detroiter of North Mia-
mi, died March 7. Mr. Freed-
land was in the automotive
supply and manufacturing
business. He was also an entre-
preneur and philanthropist.
His first job was working for
Henry Ford Sr. He was a mem-
ber of Temple Israel and was
very supportive of both Jewish
and non-Jewish charities.
Mr. Freedland is survived by
his wife, Ruth Freedland;
daughters, Darryle Freedland
of Florida, Barbara Freedland;
son and daughter-in-law,
Richard and Dorothy Freed-
land of Bloomfield Hills; grand-
children, Michael, David and
James Freedland, Nicolle For-
rest, Jennifer Ross; brothers
and sister-in-law, Nyman and
Gloria Freedland of Franklin,
Benjamin Freedland of Miami.
