Symposium
The Greater Detroit Interfaith
Round Table, the Detroit chapter
of the National Conference, will
host the Annual Symposium of
Muslims, Christians and Jews at
1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at
Temple Shir Shalom, West
Bloomfield.
The keynote speaker will be
Dr. Joseph P. Daoust, professor
of law at the University of De-
troit-Mercy, a speaker, author
and educator on economics. He
will discuss "Beyond Tolerance:
Toward A New Vision of Plural-
ism — Implications for Econom-
ics."
The program will finish with an
interfaith service and dinner.
The symposium is for leaders
in the community; business, eco-
nomic and social action groups;
and the general public interested
in the impact of economics and re-
ligion.

Kindergarten
At Adat Shalom
Adat Shalom Synagogue in
Farmington Hills will hold a
kindergarten program for young-
sters who will be 5 years old by
Dec. 1.
Both half-day and full-day op-
tions will be offered when school
begins next September.
All prospective families are in-
vited to Kindergarten Night at
7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at
Adat Shalom to learn about the
program. Class size will be limit-
ed to 15 children with an experi-
enced teacher and assistant
teacher. Hands-on learning cen-
ters will be employed.
The youngsters will work di-
rectly with specialists in music,
science, Hebrew, woodworking,
physical education and comput-
ers.
