The secrets of storytelling will be
revealed by Corinne Stavish
when she addresses the Beth El-
ders of Temple Beth El, noon
Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the temple.
Her lecture, "The Magic of an
Ancient Art Rekindled," will be
preceded by lunch.
Cost of the program, open to
the community, is $8 per person.

Treasures Host
Coffee Social

The Treasures of Temple Israel
will host a coffee social 1 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the tem-
ple. Rabbi Joshua Bennett will
discuss the temple's ongoing
Torah L'Am Project, an under-
taking to prepare a new Torah
scroll for the congregation. Dr.
Eric Ray, an internationally
known Torah scribe, has been
engaged to help with the scrib-
ing process.
Members and guest are wel-
come. For reservations and fur-

Publicity Deadlines

The normal deadline for local news
and publicity items is noon Thursday,
eight days prior to issue date. The
deadline for out-of-town obituaries
is 10 a.m. Tuesday, three days prior
to issue date.
All material must be typewritten,
double-spaced, on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and
include the name and daytime tele-
phone number of sender.
