The Bais Chabad Torah Center
of West Bloomfield will host a
melava malka 8:30 p.m. Satur-
day, Dec. 21. The evening's guest
speaker will be Rabbi Moshe
Feller, Chabad regional director
from Minnesota, sponsored by the
Yenta Bayla Schochet Yartzeit
Lecturer Fund.
There will be Israeli cuisine and

Movie Night
The Congregation Beth Achim
Men's Club will hold its annual
"Morrie's Movie Night" 8 p.m.

The movie will be The Frisco
Kid, starring Gene Wilder and
Harrison Ford. Refreshment will
be served and there is a charge.

Lunch Series
Talks Prophets
"Dining with the Prophets," a se-
ries of 10 lunch sessions at Adat
Shalom Synagogue will begin
noon Wednesday, Feb. 5. Open to
anyone who enjoys literary dis-
cussions, the program will provide
an overview of the section of the
Hebrew Bible known as the "For-
mer Prophets."
Rabbi Daniel Nevins will facil-
itate the sessions using the
Jewish Publication Society's
translation, Tanakh. The course
will meet Feb. 5, 12 and 26, March
5, 12, 19 and 26, and April 2, 9 and
16. Each session begins with
lunch. Discussions start prompt-
ly at 12:15 p.m. There is an $8/ses-
sion charge or $80 for the 10
weeks (payable at the beginning
of the semester). Those who wish
to attend the discussion only may
do so at no charge, but pre-regis-
tration is required.

Seeks Members
Social and Support, a group for
the learning disabled and the ed-
ucable mentally impaired, is look-
ing for members. The group does
social and educational activities
on Saturday nights.

Mystery Party
The Adat Shalom Synagogue So-
cial Club, Men's Club and Sister-
hood will join forces 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 11 to present a
Murder Mystery Party, produced
by Sally Harlow of Foul Play Pro-
ductions.
The evening will include a light
kosher deli dinner. there is a $25
charge per member and a $27 fee
