Ann Arbor, died Dec. 9. Mrs.
Klunover was a member of Con-
gregation Shaarey Zedek,
Hadassah and Women's Ameri-
can ORT.
She is survived by her daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Madelon and
Dr. Richard Weber of Ann Ar-
bor; grandchildren, Karen We-
ber and Richard Weber II. Mrs.
Klunover was the beloved wife
of the late Alfred A. Klunover.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one's choice.

HARRY KOLTONOW, 81, for-

mer Detroiter of Boca Raton,
Fla., died Dec. 4. Mr. Koltonow
was founder and owner of
Northwest Electric Supply Com-
pany in Detroit from 1.950 until
he retired in 1985. He was a for-
mer member of B'nai David and
past president in 1969-1970; he
was also a past president of the
men's club. He was instrumen-
tal in procuring land for the
building of B'nai David in
Southfield. He was a member of
Perfection-Mosaic Lodge, a 32nd
degree Mason, member of Cres-
cent Shrine Club, member of
Pisgah Lodge B'nai B'rith and
Louis Marshall, Jewish Nation-
al Fund. He had been a member
of Highland Park Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife,
Lottie; son and daughter-in-law,
Leonard and Linda of Birming-
ham; daughters and sons-in-
law, Marlene and Dr. Melvin
Wasserman of Farmington
Hills, Carolyn and Stuart Tomp-
kins of Farmington Hills; broth-
ers, Herman and Dr. Lawrence;
sister, Elizabeth Clamage;
grandchildren, Erica and Craig
Koltonow, Mark Wasserman
and fiance Rachel Chabon, Lori
and Anthony Spindler, Emily
and Seth Tompkins; great-
granddaughter, Rachel Wasser-
man; daughter-in-law Barbara
Koltonow.
Contributions may be made

vices were held at Hebrew
Memorial Chapel. Interment at
Adat Shalom Memorial Park in
Livonia. Arrangements by He-
brew Memorial Chapel.

LEONA L. KRIEGER, former

Detroiter of Beechwood, Ohio,
died Nov. 30. She worked as sec-
retary to the dean of students at
Wayne State University. She
then moved to Cleveland and
served as bookkeeper and trea-
surer in the family-owned busi-
ness, P & K Oil Service Inc. She
was a member of the Park Syna-
gogue and sisterhood for 40
years. She also held life mem-
berships in Hadassah, Pioneer
Women, serving the Bat Yam
Chapter as board member. In
addition, she belonged to the
U.S. Holocaust Museum, the

Cleveland Museum of Art and
the Friends of the Cleveland
Public Library.
She is survived by her hus-
band of 52 years, John M.; son,
Kevin Marc of Orange Village;
daughter, Dr. Marian Emily
Krieger of North Royalton; sis-
ters, Alice and Bertha Weil of
Royal Oak. She was the loving
sister of the late Major Max
Weil.
Services were held at
Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz
Memorial Chapel, Cleveland
Heights; interment was at Park
Synagogue Cemetery in Beech-
wood.

GERTRUDE SHIRLEY
LABOWITCH, 84, of Farming-

ton Hills, died Dec. 5. She is
survived by her sons and
daughter-in-law, Robert of Aus-
tralia, Bernard of Hamtramck,
Andrew and Kathy of Ply,
mouth, Minn.; daughters and
sons-in-law, Frances and Bruce
Lamb of Northville, Michelle
and Monte Nagler of Farming-
ton Hills; sisters and brother-
in-law, Hazel Trock of Florida,
Estelle and Simon Schmansky
of California; 14 grandchildren;
three great-grandchildren. Mrs.
Labowitch was the beloved wife
of the late Jack.
Contributions may be made
to Penrickton Center for Blind
Children, 26530 Eureka Road,
Taylor, MI 48180; or to any
children's charity. Services
were held at Hebrew Memorial
Chapel. Interment at Mach-
pelah Cemetery in Ferndale.

GEORGE LAUFFER, 88, of
Ann Arbor, died Dec. 9. Mr.
Lauffer was a furrier. He was
the former owner of Alaska Furs
and manager of Evans Furs. Mr.
Lauffer was a veteran of the Bel-
gium Army, past president of
his B'nai B'rith Lodge in Laguna
Hills, Calif., and an active sup-
porter of Hillel and the Anti-
Defamation League.
He is survived by his wife,
Gisele; sons and daughters-in-
law, Armand and Rickie of Ann
Arbor, Robert and Naomi of
Calif.; grandchildren, Josh and
Only Lauffer, Tamar and
Yitzchak Attias, Nina, Harper
and Alexus Lauffer; great-
grandchildren, Tohar and Ad-
vah Lauffer, Elisheva and Naa-
ma Batya, David and Yonatan
Attias.
Interment at Arborcrest
Cemetery. Contributions may
