died Dec. 7. Mrs. Kaner was a

Beth El in Superior, Wisc., and
Temple Israel in Duluth, Minn.

CAROLE RAE KLEIN., 60, of
West Bloomfield, died Dec. 4.
Mrs. Klein was an attorney in
Farmington Hills. She was a
graduate of the University of
Michigan and Wayne State Uni-
versity Law School. She was
also a member of the Michigan
and Oakland Bar Association.
Mrs. Klein is survived by her
husband, Stanley; sons and
daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Chase
of Denver, Eric and Dora Chase
of Los Angeles; grandchildren,
Elizabeth and Hannah Chase;
brothers, Gerald Portney of
West Bloomfield, Michael Port-
ney of Detroit. She was the
beloved daughter of the late
Jack and Bess Portney.
