JARC (Jewish Association for Res-
idential Care) gala fund-raiser on
Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Fox
Theatre.
Grease is the word these days
at JARC headquarters, where
Dembs, Associate Chairperson
Jim Zack, Young Adult Pre-Glow
Co-Chairs Gary Gilbert and Ron
Applebaum, Executive Director
Joyce Keller, and a dedicated, en-
ergetic slew of steering committee
members and ticket sellers put to-
gether the details of the massive
undertaking.
JARC is a nonprofit organiza-
tion that operates 16 homes and

four independent living programs
for adults with developmental dis-
abilities. One-third of JARC's an-
nual $5.2 million budget is derived
from individual and corporate con-
tributions. The concert event, now
in its 14th year, is JARC's major
fund-raiser.
Last year, JARC presented

Joseph and the Amazing Techni-
color Dreamcoat to a sellout crowd

at the Masonic Temple. On Nov.
20, the cast of Grease will be born
to hand jive for JARC's audience.
The national tour stars Adrian
Zmed (Grease 2, "Dance Fever"),
who starred in the role of Danny
Zuko on Broadway; Jasmine Guy
("A Different World," "Melrose
Place") as Rizzo; and Peter Scolari
("Bosom Buddies," "Newhart") as
Vince Fontaine. The '50s rock 'n'
roll show is one of the longest-run-
