Kollel Moshe
Adult Classes

There are openings in fall class-
es at Kollel Moshe, Congregation
B'nai Moshe's new adult Jewish
learning center.
"To the Golden Land," is a
four-part American Jewish his-
tory series taught by Alvin Gold-
man. It meets 7:30-9 p.m. on
Monday nights, Oct. 28 and Nov.
4. There is a charge. Mr. Gold-
man will lead a second Monday
night study series titled, "From
Downtown to the Suburbs," be-
ginning 7:30-9 p.m. Nov. 11 and
continuing on Nov. 18, 25 and
Dec. 2. There is a charge.
Rabbi Elliot Pachter will lead
a study series on the Book of
Psalms (Sefer Tehillim) 10:30-
11:30 a.m. on Wednesday morn-
ings.
Leonard I. Wanetik will teach
a Sunday morning class on the
Torah portion of the week from
9:30 to 10:30 a.m. There is a
charge for both of these classes.
There are also openings in all
three adult Hebrew reading
classes. Beginner Hebrew Read-
ing meets on Thursday nights
from 7:30 to 9 p.m. with Ahuva
Newman. There are two "Beyond
Beginner" classes, for those who
have already studies Hebrew for
one year. One class meets on
Sunday mornings from (;30 to
11:00 a.m. and is taught by Dr.
Ed Golenberg. The other "Be-
yond Beginner" class meets on
Monday nights from 8 to 9 p.m.
with Rita Abramson. There is a
charge for all Adult hebrew class-
es.
Kollel Moshe will sponsor a
once-a-month home-based dis-
cussion group on "Contemporary
Jewish Issues." There is a charge,
which includes a subscription to

Sh'ma: A Journal of Jewish Re-
sponsibility, a biweekly newslet-

ter of Jewish opinion published
by CLAL-the National Jewish
Center for Learning and Lead-
ership.
All Kollel Moshe adult Jewish
learning opportunities are open
to the community. Classes will

Book Bites
Series Starts

Congregation Beth Achim will
host Book Bites, a discussion
series, at 7:30 p.m. on Monday,
Oct. 28, at the home of Joyce and
Donald Sherman. The book to be
discussed will be Stones From the
River by Ursula Hegi. The re-
viewer will be Rabbi Herbert
Yoskowitz.
There is no charge for this
series. Dessert will be served. To
