Southfield MI 48075-1402

Dear Mr. Lobenthal:

I join with the very prestigious group of individuals that honor your noteworthy achievements
by presenting you the And-Defamation League's Champion of Liberty Award. This is a
momentous occasion and I salute your lifelong dedication to promoting peace and understanding
among people of all races and religions.

In your 32 years as ADL's Michigan Director, you served as a front-runner in the fight for social
equality and justice for all people in Michigan. The many honors and awards that have been

Once again, I salute you for your many accomplishments, and I wish you the. best in the years
to come. You have been a true leader and an inspiration to many people, myself included.

Sincerely,
