Glantz received a citation from
the Michigan Senate for his ac-
tivites in the franchise field.
He was a former owner of the
Grande Ballroom, the Walled
Lake Amusement Park and
several other entertainmment
businesses. Mr. Glantz was the
author of four books and a
screenplay, which is under
production in Florida.
He is survived by his daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Arlene and
Judge Jerome Blum of West
Bloomfield; son, Leonard S. of
Southfield; grandchildren,
Lisa and Todd Elkin, Jerrold
and Melisa Emery. He was
also the father of the late
Stephen Jay Glantz.
Graveside services were
held at Clover Hill Park ceme-
tery in Birmingham. Contribu-
tions may be made to any Is-
raeli cause. Arrangements by
Dorfman Funeral Direction.

85, of Southfield, died Sept. 18.
Dr. Hauser was a retired oph-
thalmologist, who graduated
from the University of Michi-
gan Medical School in 1935
and completed his residency at
the Illinois Eye and Ear Hospi-
tal. He was one of the founding
doctors of Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Hauser was a lieutenant
colonel in the Army Medical
Corps during World War II.
Dr. Hauser is survived by
his wife of 48 years, Shirley;
son, Meryl of Chicago; daugh-
ters, Kay, Wendy of Fairfax,
Va. He was the dear brother of
the late Anne Smith, the late
Florence Metz, the late Dr. I.
Jerome Hauser and the late
Dr. Myron Hauser.
Interment at Beth El Memo-
rial Park. Contributions may
be made to the Jewish Nation-
al Fund for a garden in honor
of Dr. Maurice J. Hauser,
