Molly Rubin, daughter of Allen
and Marilyn Rubin of Oak Park,
will celebrate her bat mitzvah on
Sept. 28. The service and party
will be held at the Furniture
Club in Southfield. Jan Adler, di-
rector of Workmen's Circle Sun-
day School where Molly attends,
will lead the services.
Molly is the granddaughter of
Benjamin and Ann Rubin of
Cape Coral, Fla., Jean Kaplan of
Bloomfield Hills and the late
Louis Kaplan.
Molly is an honor student at
Norup Middle School in Oak
Park, where she is an active
member of the Norup Orchestra-
Violin Section. She also is an
avid reader of mystery novels.
Zachary Weiss of West Bloomfield
was bar mitzvah at Temple Israel
on August 30. Rabbis Loss and
Yedwab and Cantor Orbach led
the services.
Participating in the ceremony
were Zachary's parents, Robert
and Sandra, and his brother,
Aaron. Grandmother Esther
Weiss of Farmington Hills also
attended.
A party was held at Temple Is-
rael.
Zachary is a student at Berk-
shire Middle School and attends
Hebrew school at Temple Israel.
He is active in sports and plays
the piano.
