Super Sunday
Needs Volunteers

Individuals, families, congrega-
tions and organizations are in-
vited to "be a life saver" by vol-
unteering for Super Sunday, the
community kickoff of the 1997
Allied Jewish Campaign. The
Super Sunday phonathon will
take place 9:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Sun-
day, Oct. 13, at the Max M. Fish-
er Building.
The Campaign is the annual
appeal of the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit, which
supports more than 60 agencies
in Detroit, Israel and 58 coun-
tries throughout the world.
Shifts are available from 9:30
a.m. - 12:15 p.m. and 11:45 a.m.
- 2:30 p.m. The Young Adult Di-
vision will have its own shift
from 6-9 p.m.

tion about the Campaign, call

Deadlines

The normal deadline for local
news and publicity items is noon
Thursday, eight days prior to is-
sue date. The deadline for birth
announcements is 10 a.m.. Mon-
day, four days prior to issue date;
out-of-town obituaries, 10 a.m.
Tuesday, three days prior to ;s-
sue date.
