mittee of Temple Israel has de-
veloped a Divorce Support Group
for people who have recently been
divorced. The group will begin on
Sunday, Oct. 20, and will contin-
ue for six consecutive weeks. The
grot will meet at Temple Israel
from 9:45 - 11 a.m. and will be fa-
cilitated by Janice Tracht, a
trained professional therapist in
private practice and a member of
Temple Israel.

Several Talks

Joel S. Welber, attorney, will guide
a discussion on the "Laws of Get-
ting Older," the legal relationships
between generations, on Thurs-
day, Oct. 3, at 12:45 p.m. at the
Jewish Community Center of
Washtenaw County. Mr. Welber
will discuss estate planning, gift-
ing and will provide a forum for
questions and answers.
Judy Tull Tyler will speak on
the "Psychological Impact of
Sound" on Thursday, Oct. 10, at
12:45 p.m. The JCC Yoga teacher
will discuss the impact sound and
music have on you.
Robert W. Lash, assistant pro-
fessor of internal medicine; asso-
ciate chief for clinical affairs,
division of endocrinology and me-
tabolism, University of Michigan
Medical center, will speak on "Os-
teoporosis" on Thursday, Oct. 17,
at 12:45 p.m.
Karyn Schoem will speak on
"Independence For Seniors" on
Thursday, Oct. 24, at 12:45 p.m.
Ms. Schoem is a clinical social
worker at Turner Geriatric Clin-
ic.
