MERLIN M. "MAXIE" GOTT-

LIEB, 83, of Farmington Hills,
died Sept. 7. Mr. Gottlieb was a
builder. He was a volunteer for
the Allied Jewish Campaign, a
Mason and a member of the
Dearborn East Business Com-
mittee. He also established the
Merlin M. and Nettie S. Got-
tlieb Philanthropic Fund at the
Jewish Federation.
Mr. Gottlieb is survived by
his daughters and son-in-law,
Sandra and Calvin Schram of
Farmington Hills, Judith Got-
tlieb of Birmingham; grandchil-
dren, Marla Schram-Wolfe and
David Wolfe, Darcy, Anthony
and Nicolas Schram. He was
the beloved husband of the late
Nettie Gottlieb.
Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions

Cancer Institute Hospice Pro-

troit, died Aug. 28. He is sur-

secretary in the Detroit Schools

Center.

Alabama; daughters, Rebecca
of New York and Judith of San-
ta Fe, N.M.; brothers and sis-
ters-in-law, Samuel and Doris
Tron of Oak Park, Harmon and
Leah Tron of Southfield; sisters
and brothers-in-law, Lillian
and Abe Bram of Arkansas,
Roselyn and Harry Weinberg of
New Jersey; grandchildren,
Karen and Hannah Klinger.

ETHEL KORNHEISER, 77,

CHARLES MARTIN, 88, of

of San Diego, formerly of South-
field, died Sept. 1. Ms. Korn-
heiser was a long-time member
of B'nai B'rith, Women's Ameri-
can ORT and Hadassah. She
was also active with New
American Families and acted
as an interpreter and driver.
Mrs. Kornheiser is survived
by her sons and daughters-in-
law, Mark and Deborah of San
Diego, Bernard and Tonya of
San Diego; daughters and son-
in-law, Hannah Moss of San
Diego, Debora and Ralph Kuss-
ner of Los Angeles; grandchil-
dren, Avital Moss, Jeremy Bell,
Basya Kussner, Misha Kuss-
ner; brother and sister-in-law,
Fred and Marilyn Kornheiser of
West Bloomfield. She was the
beloved wife of the late Jack
Kornheiser and the dear sister
of the late Helen Goldman and
Rose Elkind.
Services and interment in

MOLLY TRON KLINGER,

FREDA KROHN, 98, of Ann
Arbor, died, Sept. 4. Mrs.
Krohn was the co-owner and
business manager of Broadway
Market. She was also a past
president of Hadassah and a
past president of Temple Beth
El Sisterhood.
Mrs. Krohn is survived by
loving relatives and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Harry M. Krohn. Inter-
ment at Beth El Memorial

MARY MORRIS, 87, of West

Bloomfield, died Sept. 5. Mrs.
Morris was a metal supply busi-
ness secretary. She was also a
member of the City of Hope.
Mrs. Morris is survived by

Martin and Elaine Mattler of
Bloomfield Hills. She was the
beloved wife of the late Sidney
Morris.
