DEBBIE MACON — Republican challenger
Experience: Treasurer of Bloomfield Hills Board of Education; Recreation Community Services

Commission; West Bloomfield Schools Community Education Central Advisory Council member.
Goals: Work with Oakland County Road Commission to provide better roads; develop recreational
programs for township's seniors, youth and families; make public safety department more effective.
On what skills she offers to the job: "I know how boards work. I can listen in a cooperative
manner, and I'm energetic and enthusiastic."

MICHAEL SCHWARTZ— Republican incumbent
Experience: Former member of the West Bloomfield Wetlands Review Board and former president

of the West Bloomfield Lakes Community Association.
Goals: Protect woodland and wetland areas; lower taxes; create a ring road around the township.
On why he is a good presence on the board: "I represent the community at large, and I can
empathize with minorities like the Jewish people, Chaldeans and African-Americans."
