JCC HIRES NEW JUDAIC SPECIALIST

The JCC Child Development Center is pleased and proud to intro-
duce our new Judaic Specialist, Risa Strauss. Risa is a University of
Michigan graduate who has worked extensively in early childhood
and Jewish education in the United States and Israel. In the past, she
has worked for Congregation Shaarey Zedek, United Hebrew
Schools and the Fresh Air Society. After making Aliyah in 1987, Risa
worked for eight years on Kibbutz Gezer as a pre-school director.

Since returning to Detroit, Risa has been teaching at the Center and
working for J.E.F.F. She will continue to teach the JCC Play Group
class at the Maple/Drake building, and will also teach an enrichment
class at Maple/Drake and JPM entitled "Mish Mosh with Mom, Me
and Risa Too." Please join us in congratulating Risa on her new
position.
