Siyum, Dinner

The Cheder Oholei Yosef
Yitzhok Lubavitch will celebrate
a Torah achievement on Sun-
day, June 16, at Congregation
Dovid Ben Nochum.
At 5:30 p.m. the nine yeshiva
bochurim will be tested by rab-
bonim; dinner will follow at 6:30
p.m. The boys are Mandel
Cahikin, Asher Federman,
Mendel Gourarie, Zalman Ka-
gan, Mendel Kottarsky, Yisroel
Pershin, Yehoshua Rosenstein,
Mendel Scharf and Levi Vogel.
The speaker at the event,
which will commemorate the
second yahrtzeit of the Lubav-
itcher Rebbe, will be Rabbi
Moshe Kottarsky from the
Lubavitch World Headquarters
in Brooklyn.
Tickets are $20 per person;

JPI Held
B'nai Mitzvah

Recently, Devin Bornstein, from
Plymouth; Jordan Craig, from
Beverly Hills; Tamara Gure-
vich, Madlyn Moskowitz and
Julie Wilner, from Bloomfield
Hills; and Marissa Holtzman,
Marc Kaufman and Josh
Levin, from West Bloomfield cel-
ebrated their B'nai Mitzvah
through Jewish Parents Insti-
tute. All seven students com-
pleted a course of study which
combine a community-related
work project with a philosoph-
ical study of the Torah and Tal-
mud.
