Women Do Well
At Tri-Regional

Jewish Women International
has published final results of
their Tri-Regional Bowling Tour-
nament, which was held in Las
Vegas.
The 1997 tournament has
been scheduled for February in
Detroit.
Second place in team high se-
ries was taken by the Detroit
team of Sue Lawrence, Rhonda
Sandweiss, Helene Friedman,
Dana Glinski and Roberta
Blaize, with a 5743. Third place
was a team of Debbie Wein, Kel-
ly VanMeter, Dolores Fox,
Denise Rodnich and Nancie
Rakotz with a 5712.
Second place in team high
game was a 1029 by Annette Ru-
binstein, Carolyn Fine, Jodi
Roth, Sharon Rubinstein and
Hallie Serling.
In "A" Division, Hallie Serling
was second in all events net with
a 1053; Bobbie Blaize was sec-
ond in all events gross with 1241;
Reva Lepler, third, high series
net, 522; Sharon Millman, sec-
ond, high series gross, 635; Kel-
ly VanMeter, second, high game
net, 208; Bernice Ellis, third,
high game net, 205.
In "B" Division, Ethel Fine,
third, all events net, 854; Elsie
Sandler, second, high series net,
451; Lois Greenberg, second,
high series gross, 616.
Hallie Serling was installed as
president of the JWI Tri-Re-
gional-Bowling Association by
Past President Fran Klinger.

Golf Classic

The Michigan Region of Women's
American ORT will hold its sixth
annual golf classic Monday, June
24, at Shenandoah Golf and
Country Club in West Bloomfield.
Registration and breakfast is
at 7:30 a.m.; shotgun start is at
8:30, luncheon and prizes are at
1 p.m.
Tournament fee for meals and
golf is $100.
