Federation's Fifty Years
Of Fun And Fund-Raising

eration celebrated its
50th anniversary with
an original musical pro-
duction at the Jewish Commu-
nity Center. More than 500
people attended the event.

Campaign Chairman Edie
Slotkin reported that Women's
Division has raised $92 million
in 50 years. For 1996, the women
are nearing their $5 million goal.
Josephine Weiner, a past
president from 1949-51, gave the
invocation.
The musical production "Give
Me That Spotlight" was written
and produced by Nancy Gur-
win. The audience thoroughly
enjoyed the singing and dancing,
as did the performers.
After the event, luncheon was
served, and the guests
were photographed for
a time capsule, which
will be opened at the
100th anniversary.
