Yehuda Bauer
Leads Seminar

Holocaust scholar Yehuda
Bauer rejects the thesis of the
book Hitler's Willing Execu-
tioners. He will present his ideas
at an adult education seminar
on Saturday, June 8, from 9:30
a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Birm-
ingham Temple.
The seminar is sponsored by
the International Institute for Sec-
ular Humanistic Judaism and is
open to the public. Advance reg-
istration is necessary. The regis-
tration fee is $25 and lunch is

Local Cantors
Lead Delegation

Detroit cantors of Conservative
synagogues in metropolitan De-
troit will lead a delegation of
congregants and lovers of can-
torial music to the jubilee con-
vention of the Cantors Assembly
— that will be held from July 21
to Aug. 4 at the Sheraton Plaza
in Jerusalem. Cantors Chaim
Najman, Max Shimansky, Sid-
ney Rube and Larry Vieder will
be among the Detroit chazzan-
im who will participate in the
convention.

Rabbi Wolf
Gives Seminar

Rabbi Laibl Wolf of Melbourne,
Australia, will be in Detroit
Monday, June 3, 7-9:30 p.m. to
deliver a seminar on The Celes-
tine Prophecy and Kabbala. The
lecture is being sponsored by the
Daniel Sobel Friendship Circle.
The Celestine Prophesy is a nov-
el by James Redfield; Rabbi Laibl
Wolf will discuss the "Celestine
insights" found in Kabbala.
The seminar will be held at
the Jewish Federation building
in Bloomfield Hills and is un-
derwritten by a grant from
World Wide Financial Services.
